Sunday School
Sunday School for all ages is held each Sunday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Students in grades 6-12 meet for Prophets, Praise Band, and pastries in Fellowship Hall from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. We gather for fellowship, announcements, donuts, music and a devotional. Then groups separate and meet until 10:45 a.m. Sixth graders meet in Room C10 of the Chesnutt Building, seventh & eighth graders meet in the South portable building, ninth through twelveth graders meet in Fellowship Hall.

Youth Choir
Middle School and High School ages are combined into one choir. The Youth Choir rehearses Sundays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. and sings in worship approximately every other month. In the spring the choir participates in the Southwest Texas Conference Annual Youth Choir Rally, a weekend gathering of approximately 500 Methodist youth who rehearse, sing in worship and fellowship together.

Youth Handbells
Middle School and High School ages are divided into two groups. Middle School handbells rehearse Sundays from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. and High School handbells rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Both handbell groups play in worship several times each church season and share their music outside the church by playing for a retirement center several times a year.

Lake Travis Brass
Open to youth and adults with brass experience, this ensemble performs during worship two to four times per season. Contact Director of Music Ministry, Patty Highland, for rehearsal and performance information.

Praise Band
LTUMC has formed a youth-based rock 'n roll "Praise Band", with guitars, drums, vocalists and other musicians, playing more "modern" Christian music. The band rehearses every Sunday evening or afternoon at the church, with several adult "mentor" musicians. The band performs at all Sunday youth services (several times per year), and also at other special youth-based functions.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship
United Methodist Youth Fellowship meets each Sunday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. for dinner ($3), fellowship, games, devotions and a closing worship. Come experience food, fellowship and fun in a safe Christian environment. (During the summer months of 2005, High School UMYF meets at 7:00 pm on Wednesdays and Middle School UMYF meets at 6:00 pm on Tuesdays.)

Puppet Ministry
The puppet team is composed of youth (4th grade through high school) who rehearse on Wednesday nights and Sunday nights. Participants can choose one of three practice times: Wednesdays 6:00-6:30, or 7:00-7:30, or Sundays 7:00-7:30 p.m. Our puppet team performs for worship once a month and throughout the year at special programs - health fair, Christmas program, etc. The team is also available for public performances.

Wednesday Night Live
Wednesday Night Live is a fun, casual evening for all ages. Families on the go can have dinner and then stay for various music and educational opportunities. Youth rehearsals for the puppet ministry, rookie handbells, youth handbells and youth choir all take place on Wednesday night.

God Squad
This fellowship for preteens in the 4th and 5th grade combines learning activities that direct them to be better disciples for Jesus. The group meets once a month on Sunday evenings for fun and fellowship. Summers bring outings such as bowling, swim parties and rock climbing. God Squad is a great forum for pre-teens to tackle the complex issues they face in adolescence in a nurturing environment.

Vacation Bible School Youth Assistants
Youth are encouraged to be a part of our annual week long Vacation Bible School held each July by volunteering to become Youth Assistants.

Missions Trips
Youth learn to go beyond themselves to make a difference by participating in work related mission trips. Youth trips for 2001: Middle School went to Carlsbad, New Mexico, July 13-21; High School went to Baldwin, Louisiana to the Sager-Brown United Methodist Committee On Relief Center, July 15-21. The experience was powerful. Just ask any of the youth and sponsors. They'll be glad to tell you about how they experienced God while helping others.

Retreats
In the spring the choir participates in the Southwest Texas Conference Annual Youth Choir Rally, a weekend gathering of approximately 500 Methodist youth who rehearse, sing in worship and fellowship together.
